About

Hey,  I am Jasmine Mims  - the person behind Guided Growth Family Counseling.

Why I Started Guided Growth

I started Guided Growth because I know how challenging it is to feel misunderstood—especially by the people closest to you. This practice is my way of creating the kind of support I needed: a space where you’re truly seen, heard, and accepted as you are.

What We Do Here at Guided Growth Family Counseling

Provide  Support

We work with kids, teens, and adults—mostly starting around age 11 and up—who are figuring out how to move through the world in a way that works for them. Many of the people we work with are neurodivergent, including those with ADHD or Autism, and they’re often dealing with things like burnout, stress, tough transitions, feeling overwhelmed, relationship struggles, or just trying to manage everyday things that can feel more intense or complicated.

Our style is flexible and really centered on you. I’m not here to change who you are— We are here to help you better understand yourself and figure out what actually works for you. That might mean finding tools to manage big emotions, make decisions with more confidence, handle change more smoothly, or simply feel a little more in control of your day-to-day.

Sometimes it’s just us in the room, and sometimes it’s helpful to involve parents, caregivers or partners so there’s support at home too. Either way, we go at your pace. You bring your strengths, your interests, and your goals, and together we build on those to help you feel more grounded and supported.

If you’ve never done therapy before, that’s totally okay. You don’t have to have it all figured out. I’m here to walk alongside you—through the mess, the questions, the ups and downs—and help you find some clarity, confidence, and calm along the way.

What Therapy Looks Like Here

Therapy is a space to slow down and make sense of what’s going on beneath the surface. It’s not about “fixing” you—it’s about getting to know your emotions, figuring out what’s working (and what’s not), and learning simple tools to help you move through challenges with more ease.

Together, we focus on what already works—your natural strengths, personal interests, and the way your brain uniquely operates. From there, we build practical strategies that support your everyday life. That might look like grounding techniques, personalized routines, sensory-friendly supports, executive functioning tools, or just having a safe space to talk things out without pressure to be anything other than yourself.

This approach is especially supportive for neurodivergent individuals—those who often feel misunderstood, pushed to mask, or exhausted by systems that weren’t built with them in mind. Whether you're working through a tough season or simply want to feel more steady and in control, therapy can help life feel a little more manageable—and a lot more like your own.
